TV Filming: Art and Business, part 2

We wrapped up this episode with some fascinating interviews with Jim Grace, Executive Director with the Arts and Business Council of Greater Boston and additionally Eliane Markoff, founder of Art in Giving.

Arts and Business Council of Greater Boston: The Arts & Business Council invests in the people and organizations that create the art we love. We do this through an integrated and responsive platform of programs and services designed to support and nurture the creative ecosystem. Additionally, here is one of their services (Legal): We want all artists to be protected and to know their rights. Our legal services program, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Mass., provides direct legal services, advice, and educational programming to artists and cultural organizations, leveraging a panel of over 500 volunteer attorneys.

Art in Giving Mission: Art in Giving combines the ingenuity of childhood cancer researchers with the creativity of artists. Researchers stretch the limits of their minds in a relentless pursuit to cure cancer. Artists also stretch the limits of their imagination to appeal to our hearts and souls. Art in Giving follows a unique path that combines the creativity and generosity of its artists with the needs of talented cancer researchers. Up to 50% of the proceeds from the sale of art through the efforts of Art in Giving are donated to The Rachel Molly Markoff Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity that makes grants to cancer researchers.
