Who owns the English language?

We began the morning with 3 innovative presentations by Profs. Sarah Piper, Al Harris, and Atul Tandan on doing business in Germany, the US and India, respectively. Prof. Tandan closed his presentation, and the entire conference, with a simple question: “If English is spoken worldwide, does any one country own it anymore?” Great food for thought.

Due to a 1-day foodworker strike, the restaurant on campus was unexpectedly closed. So, we ordered out for sandwiches; just a routine French occurrence.

The students toured the Chateau in the center of the city and closed out the day with a reception at City Hall.

Presentations begin tomorrow at 9 am!
