What do you want to be… when you grow up?
Congrats to The Rivers School for some innovative thinking in terms of internships and career placement. They had an inaugural Career Fair tonight featuring alumni with vintages ranging from 1977 – 2009. After a short panel discussion interviewing the alumni about their college experiences, majors, internships and permanent jobs, each mentor staffed a separate table. The topics ranged from Education and Entrepreneurship to Technology, Social Media and a little bit of everything in between. The high school seniors had an opportunity to rotate through two different tables, getting personalized insights. If we only had this when we were applying to college…
Ned Parsons describes his hopes for the evening.
