Global Management Experience Day # 2: Sightseeing
We had a great first full day in Asia and covered lots of ground. The morning began with a tour of Tiananmen Square. Part of the Square itself was closed due to security preparations for the People’s Congress but we still found some prime viewing vantage points. We toured the Forbidden City next but didn’t have time to complete viewings of all 9,999 rooms. 🙂  Lunch was down the street featuring primarily Western fare.
In the afternoon we made our way to a Cloisonné factory, to break up the 90-minute journey. We then went to the Mutianyu portion of the Great Wall. I love this section as it features the added bonus of a cable car journey. We let the team free for 45 minutes to explore on the wall and then came back down to make the trek home. Students did their last minute haggling, too, for unique gifts.
Tonight is a free night– our last in Beijing– with company visits, alumni events and company sponsored visits all beginning tomorrow.
