Global Management Experience Day #6: Hong Kong company visits

What a terrific day we had in Hong Kong! The morning began with an economic briefing on Hong Kong, China and China’s Belt and Road initiative. We ran over time since the presenter was excited seeing the students ask so many questions. We took the MTR subway across town and had lunch in the basement of an office tower. The first stop of the afternoon was to learn about a new trading platform funded in part by Alibaba’s founder, Jack Ma; the female CEO was simply inspiring and everyone walked away incredibly impressed. The bus met us and then shuttled us to a Hong Kong based incubator. The father of the founder out of nowhere surprised everyone by taking the entire team out for a multi-course Roast Goose dinner.

We have 2 finance-oriented visits tomorrow and then our Hong Kong BU Alumni Event in the evening. Saturday morning is a free day until we get on the plane to come home.

Today’s pictures and videos are below.

Thanks for reading! Each day we keep hitting new all-time highs in terms of hits on this Blog while we’ve been in Asia! We appreciate your time and interest.
