Scott Stathis has worked in the financial services industry since 1992. Scott joined forces with Dr. Kenneth Kehrer in 2008 and subsequently partnered with BISA in 2012 to form Bank Insurance & Securities Research Associates. BISRA (formerly Kehrer-LIMRA) is a performance research and consulting organization focused on financial institutions, and is a collaboration between BISA and LIMRA International. Furthermore, Scott served as the Managing Director and COO of BISRA until 2015. His early background in the industry includes new broker training, sales automation, and financial planning systems. Additionally, his more recent experience includes 12 years running his own financial services technology consulting and sales performance company, as well as being president of a financial planning software firm.
David Macchia is Founder & CEO of Wealth2k, Inc. An entrepreneur who has been working on the retirement income business opportunity since 2004, his expertise encompasses both academic theory and practical solutions. David is a founding member of the non-profit Retirement Income Industry Association (RIIA). He headed Member Services, was the organization’s Secretary for two years, and served on the RIIA Board from 2006- thru 2013.
Sean Tesoro, president of Salem Five Financial, was named to Bank Investment Consultant’s 2015 Top 50 Program Managers List. This list considers a number of success metrics, including assets, growth and number of employees. Tesoro began his career in 1994 with Putnam Investments before advancing to management positions with Sun Life Financial, Travelers and Mass Mutual. Prior to joining Salem Five in 2008, Tesoro was COO of Colonial Brokerage in Alabama (a subsidiary of Colonial Bank).
J.P. Pontbriand joined Salem Five Investment Services in 2006. As one of the firm’s senior advisors, he manages investment portfolios and provides related advisory services for both institutional and individual clients. J.P. is a CFA Charterholder; the CFA© (Chartered Financial Analyst©) is considered by many to be the definitive standard of measuring portfolio management and investment analysis competence and integrity. The CFA charter requirements include a three-year program of study and testing, which J.P. completed in 1993, and ongoing demonstration of continuing education and ethical business practice. Additionally and throughout the ensuing 20+ years, he has worked in the investment field extensively: including institutional investment management, investment banking, corporate finance, and wealth management. He lives in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire with his wife and their five children.
