BU VCIC “local” competition at 3 pm on Friday (11/8): room 406

Watch our BU Questrom School of Business MBAs audition to make the BU VCIC Regional Team this coming Friday, or come visit, to increase your own knowledge of venture capital!

12 students are competing for 5 slots (4 participants + 1 alternate). Our undergrad VCIC team will also be attending, to keep honing their own skills. A *huge* thanks to the three entrepreneurs and 10+ judges volunteering their time to help us form the best team possible.

The Venture Capital Investment Competition began in the middle of the technology bubble in 1998 as an educational event for MBAs to learn about venture funding. Two decades later, through good times and bad in the venture industry, VCIC has evolved into a marketplace for entrepreneurs seeking investors and a training ground for future venture capitalists. Each year, VCIC includes 50+ events on four continents, serving over 1,500 students, 150 venture capitalists and 100 entrepreneurs. New this year is VCIC’s Most VC-Backable Startup Global Search.

Our Questrom MBA’s compete in late February at Dartmouth and the undergrads at NYU. We’re also honored to be hosting two regionals on campus on 1/31 and 2/1. More info at vcic.org.
