Language of Business Episode 6: To Vaccinate or Not

In Episode #6, in our current Language of Business (TM/R) season, we explore the difficult decision to vaccinate or not against Covid-19. In a recent speech by US President Biden: “Vaccinations are not about freedom or personal choice, but about protecting yourself and those around you.” According to USA Today in late August, only 50% of the US is currently vaccinated, however. Other countries run the gamut from low to high. On this episode we talk with Christopher J. Gill, Associate Professor of Global Health at BU, about vaccination science, Dr. Liza Meyerhardt, an internist at Newton Wellesley Hospital who’s on the front lines keeping us all safe, a well spoken executive and mother who remains the only person in her family still taking a wait-and-see attitude on getting a jab, and Tufts University Assistant Professor of Medical Education, Dr. Carol Bascom-Slack, on what it means when a virus mutates. Many thanks to Randy Barth, Don Kelley, Paul Alexander, Susan James Leyva, Jill Totenberg. (Non YouTube version: https://lnkd.in/dbDjQRdU)
