It’s a labor of love to conceive and then found a company. But what happens then? Check out our latest Language of Business (TM/R) episode! Do you keep it small as a lifestyle business or pull out the stops to grow it exponentially? Sarah Bernadette Ottow left classroom teaching to start Confianza and then brought in so called “Professional Management.” Kim Casto is the owner of Body Lines Pilates; she survived a fire and then Covid, is happy to be out of Corporate America. But it’s a blessing and curse to keep things small. Vanessa Holroyd, co-owner of Music Management, says “wanting to do things so well” is consistently what keeps her up at night. Redrose Development’s founder Ann Ruddy plans to use Blended Finance to increase the valuation of her company. Run time is 24 minutes and thanks to Randy Barth for video, Don Kelley for his audio production work, Susan James Leyva, Patrick Abouchalache, Jodi Luber, and the Questrom School of Business, Boston University for its support.
