Funding for another Boston College MBA Business Plan Course idea

Congratulations to Christian Amport, whose Belgian Beer Start-up, Overshores Brewing, is now funded. A copy of his press release follows. This idea had a Business Plan written about it in my MBA course several years prior and Christian has been hard on work on it, ever since.

Overshores Brewing Update We Are FUNDED!

I am proud to announce that this past Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013, I signed our closing documents and Overshores Brewing Co. is now officially the proud recipient of a $300,000 loan from the fine State of Connecticut.

This money together with our existing investment commitments satisfies the requirements to move forward with our round of seed investment that gets us started!

Now that our loan is finalized, I got the keys to our new brewery in East Haven, Connecticut. Our rent is paid, we have the keys and WE HAVE A BREWERY!

In the coming weeks I will be working with equipment fabricators, receiving bids and ordering our brewing equipment.

Given equipment lead times, my goal is to have the brewery fully operational by June and have beer on the shelf for the 4th of July!

Stay tuned for our Grand Opening date, special events for fans and keep your eyes peeled for Overshores on the shelf in Connecticut this summer!

Cheers, and here’s to Connecticut’s first Belgian Beer!

Best,
Christian Amport
