VCIC Partner Committee, Negotiation and Regional Team Interviews

Watch VCIC teams justify their decisions during their Senior Partner Committee meeting, negotiate directly with Entrepreneurs over deal terms and interviews with the 5-person team selected to represent BU at the VCIC Regionals in February. Check out picture gallery, too!

Team #1 Partner Meeting

In a segment of the BU VCIC competition, teams underwent intense questioning from the line of judges in justifying their selection of venture to invest in. The judges played the roles of senior partners of a VC firm, while teams played the role of junior analysts of the firm, elaborating on their assumptions, valuation methods and basis for decisionmaking. Watch BU’s Team 1 consisting of Benjamin Courtney, Jonathan Glendinning, Elaine Low, Shirley Deng and Oliver Chu face some of the questions thrown out by judges.

 Team #2 Entrepreneur Negotiation

In the final leg of the competition, teams faced the entrepreneur representing the venture of their choice and attempted to negotiate a deal. Watch BU’s Team 2 consisting of John Fusi, Shannon Sisk, [insert names here], propose an agreement with a shrewd entrepreneur.

 Team #3 Entrepreneur Negotiation

BU’s Team 3 consisting of Tommaso Savi, Xian, Neda [insert names here], take their turn facing rapid fire questioning from their “senior partners.”
