Language of Business (Episode #10): The Business of Education

How do you support 700 different students getting a job and ensuring most, if not all, have a really positive experience? Check out our latest Language of Business (TM/R) episode! Erin Murdock is a career advisor, and discusses the move from the programming language C++ to the skills employers want from today’s computer science majors. Brad Schiller founded Prompt, which provides essay writing services to future, college bound students. With more and more schools going test optional, essays have become far more important so he is busier than ever. Steve Graham is a professor at Arizona State University and believes writing is thinking both inside and outside of the classroom, and even when sending a tweet. Finally, Mati Amin founded his own company and has 30,000 active users. Note that he’s only in the pre-seed fund raising stage. Run time is 23 minutes and thanks to Randy Barth for video, Don Kelley for his audio production work, Susan James Leyva, Patrick Abouchalache, Jodi Luber, and the Questrom School of Business, Boston University for its support. Of course, an equally huge thanks to our four guests!
