New Business Idea: Perfect Your Podcast

Podcasting has become one of the #1 ways to gain exposure and build credibility online.  But do you know how to start one and make it successful?

Check out this great new web site from radio celebrity, and business executive, Mike Carruthers, for his new business. Mike has been extremely successful running two companies, to date, both for over 20 years, and on more than 200 radio stations: Something You Should Know,  is nationally aired each day, and Relevant Prep used by hundreds of morning DJs to keep their content fresh.

Here is his LinkedIn profile and his fully company web site is here.

As a career radio broadcaster, I have been a disc jockey, talk-show host, producer and writer.

I am probably best known as the creator and host of the nationally syndicated radio program and podcast “Something You Should Know” which has been on the air for over 20 years and a podcast since 2009. The program has won several industry awards.

To date I have interviewed over 8,000 people on the air – and counting. And I still love what I do.

In addition I have hosted and/or produced network radio programs for ABC, Westwood One, CBS and others. I have also been a voice-over artist for many clients over the years.

When podcasting first began, I, like many broadcasters, was skeptical. There were two problems:

The technology hadn’t really caught up to the idea. It wasn’t easy to listen to or subscribe to podcasts. Consequently it was hard to attract audiences.
